Dr. Michael A. Palermo has practiced chiropractic in the Hazleton Area for twenty-three years providing family care, acute injury care and treatment for chronic conditions of the spine and extremities.

Growing up in Hazleton has been an advantage in establishing friendly and professional relationships with other health care providers which makes coordination of care a pleasant experience for both patients and providers.

During the past decade, Dr. Palermo has been an avid runner, competing in four marathons and numerous races.

He has been not only instrumental in hosting The Valley Great 8 Race and assisting in the creation of The Valley Running Club but has also contributed to the running community with a weekly "Keeping Pace" running column which appears in the Hazleton Standard Speaker and NEPARunner website.  This commitnment to the sport of running has opened tremondous exposure to treating area athletes, thus gaining greater knowledge in proper gait biomechanics, nutrition and sports injury training/prevention.

Dr. Palermo's latest contribution to the area is the creation of The Palermo Spine Center which is proposed to open in January 2008.
