The Valley Running Club was established in late 2006 and has since prospered as many area runners and walkers have chosen to unite as a family and show our colors at many local events.

The Valley Great 8 Committee; Dan O'Donnell, Joe Clifford, Steve Mardinyak, Dino Oberto, Mike Brandtmeier and Mike Palermo have hosted an eight mile race and are preparing for the four annual event to be held Saturday May 17th, 2008

MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING

OF VALLEY RUNNING CLUB, INC.

FEBRUARY 20, 2008  

AT VESUVIO RESTAURANT

In attendance: Dan O’Donnell, Michael Brandtmeier, Michael Palermo, Wendy

                          Reshetar and Joe Ferdinand

1.          President O’Donnell convened the meeting at and noted those

            in attendance

2.         Minutes from the January 29, 2008 meeting were read and approved.

3.         Mike Palermo confirmed that the Valley Great 8 will be held on May 17,

            2008 and will commence at   The addition of a 4 mile race to the 

           format as proposed and discussed in   January was approved

            Mike Palermo discussed a revised route that will improve the safety

            aspect of the race.  The members discussed the issue and authorized

            Mike to make whatever revisions he determines.  Mike will continue to

            consult with officers with regard to the final route

4.         Mike Palermo and Mike Brandtmeier asked whether the club had 501(c)(3)status. 

           The club is organized as a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation.

            Mike Brandtmeier was authorized to review the issue and make application

            for 501(c)(3) status if, in fact, the club has not received that and it appears

            that the club will qualify

5.         President O’Donnell requested nominations for officers for the club

            for 2008.  Members in attendance put forward a slate as follows: 

            President Dan O’Donnell; Secretary Wendy Reshetar; Treasurer Mike

            Brandtmeier; Race Director Mike Palermo.   The vote was unanimous

6.         A discussion was held with regard to 2008 dues.  It was determined

            to request dues for 2008 by April 1 with an explanation to members

            that although original dues were paid at various times by new

            members in 2007 it would benefit the club to request dues annually

            by April 1.  Dues for 2008 remain $10.00 and the race fees remain

            the same

7.         It was noted that the club has approximately 64 members.  Wendy

            Reshetar was authorized and directed to send out a mailing requesting

            dues from the members
